Eye of the storm

SEMBREAK, FINALLY.

It has been what? Three months since my last update? Ha. I apologize for the lack of updates in such a long time. I have been battling hard against college -- a battle that I pretty much needed to win to go on the next level. It's just the first semester yet I had so many "almost sleepless" nights due to plates! Those didn't hinder me from enjoying this semester, though. I still find time to be with my friends and family despite all the school works.

This is gonna be totally irrelevant but I have to say it!!! Some people from "today" (I meant college) were just as annoying as the people back then. During highschool, I learned not to care for those unworthy of my attention and/or frankly say what they needed to know. I stayed the same. Being a bitch was not just an option, it was necessary.

So far, I am enjoying every moment of my break. I so want to do a lot of things this break and gladly, I haven't been disappointing myself. I have a new adventure to go to everyday. Hahaha! I told myself that I'll be sleeping for the whole sembreak but I can't just stay in the house and do nothing. Lately I've been meeting up with my friends, playing table tennis, reading books, having dates with Jesse and all that... I think I forgot how to play LoL. :(

I have to remember that I am just in the eye of the storm. The things about to happen for the next semester are a lot more challenging and mind-wrecking. And eyebag dropping, so to speak.

What I Did This Sembreak:

I was really looking forward to our semestral break ever since school started since we were always given a bunch of school works to be done during the weekends. We, seniors, have rarely free weekends. That's a fact. Though I quite enjoy being busy, of course I still need to have time to sleep all day, just like what I did last summer. Since it's my last year of being a high school student, I strive to have good grades in order to have some achievements of my own. Well, fortunately, I have no failing grades and I'm contented with them. Except Math. Ew, Math. If you're always with me and if you're really my friend, you'll know that I never liked Math. Err.. Geometry's an exception. But all other else? NO.

I went too far. Heh. Okay so here's basically what I did/what I'm doing this semestral break:

I'm reading The Throne of Fire. Well, I just finished The Red Pyramid before this week started. To be honest, I found The Red Pyramid real boring so it took me several weeks to finish it. Nonetheless, I started with its sequel immediately, The Throne of Fire, and I find it quite more interesting than the first book. I hope to finish it before school starts--in short, I have to finish it by tomorrow! I'm almost done, though. Yay :)

I bought gifts to give for Christmas and wrapped them up already with my Hello Kitty gift wrappers. I am so bored that I finished all of them in just one night! My only problem is my gifts to my mom, sister, brother, Michelle, and Jesse. Well, I have gift ideas for them, though. All I need is money!

Finalized my Physics portfolio! I finished it ahead of time--just before the sembreak started. Actually, I finished it WAY ahead of time because I did it during our examination week. So this week, I just put in the title page and fastened them into the folder.  I double checked it, if I missed any lessons or problems whatsoever. Just to be sure.

Edited articles and made one! Sadly, I was too busy editing articles that I left just one article for myself. My co-editor told me that I should write for the features, but I feel like I wanna write more news articles since I'm the editor of the category itself. It'll be ironic writing features more than the news.

Lastly, shopping! My family and I went to different malls this week to buy clothes and shoes and whatnot. My sibs and I were given permission to buy all the things we want (mostly clothes) but we had to make sure that we won't exceed the price given by mom. It was fun shopping and we do this once a year so yay! This will also be our parents' Christmas gift to us, and surely, they were the best Christmas gifts we ever receive since we get to choose them ourselves. I also bought these three books I wanted with the money my rents' gave me. It even exceeded few hundred pesos but Mom still agreed to buy me these. Yay! I can't wait to read The Fault in our Stars but I think I have to finish the City of Mortal Instruments Sequel first so I have to read City of Lost Souls before anything else in the three.

It's saddening that the time given to us students to unwind is almost reaching its end. Plus, I badly want to finish high school and graduate already! It's not the people, not the school, not the teachers (only a bit), definitely not the subjects (except Algebra!), but my eagerness to reach college and study Architecture/Journalism! I am so hyped for college life not because of freedom but because of what there is to come outside my comfort zone. It would be real fun, and challenging.

P.S. I'm writing this at midnight (It's already 2 AM). Proves that my creative juices really come out when I stay up late. I hate it! Do I really have to stay up late just to write a long and worthy post to read? Or am I the only one saying that?

P.P.S. It's my mom's birthday today (November 4)! Mind greeting her? No? Thanks! :)
