Mother's day celebration

My mom having to work again (she stopped for a year because she wanted some break) put a lot of downsides especially this summer because we weren't able to go out whenever we wanted to. So, Mother's day was not just a day for mothers all over the world, but to us, it was a day for us to bond as a family.

The night before the said event, my siblings got to have this mini cake for free and I was the one who kind of designed it. Just for fun.

Do you know Cri-Kee from Mulan? My sibs and I got used to call our mom Cri-Kee because she's small and she says a lot of things that only she understands. lol

This was our gift to her. She's been eyeing it for several years (and I'm not even exaggerating haha) but even if she had money for it, she wouldn't buy it! It's too expensive for me and my sibs so we had our dad sponsor it for us. Hahaha!

Jesse and I were having our 11th month that day, too!
Out of the topic, but meh.

We went to Southmall that day because we haven't been there in ages. Plus, the weather was really bipolar so we chilled in the mall. Aaaand I had milk tea again! What's new? Haha I've been addicted to it ever since I went back and forth to UST for a couple of days T__________T

This is what I really like when we're eating dinner at Burgoo. The "vandalize" all you can. Hahaha! Hotdog day = Mothers' day. Some of you may get the idea. Haha. My sister is mean, I'm telling you.

Drew a bird to mock my sister. Hihi it's a badly drawn bird but who cares? And a Durian because her boyfie is from Davao. Now don't get offended, people from Davao. I'm just mocking my sister :P

Dinner *u*
Too bad that my favorite steak wasn't available so I had to settle with Angus Rib-Eye (lower right) which I didn't like :(

Looks yummy, tastes otherwise. It's just too sweet and creamy and ugh. I am a fan of desserts, especially those with strawberries, but I gave up on this one.

With my fatty family haha

I hate it when I'm in the mood to blog but then Blogger doesn't work with me! I'm so sorry for the late posts! But I have two posts coming up after this, watch out. :3

For the nth time

The heat in Manila is so unbearable that my family and I chose to stay for several nights in our usual vacation spot, Subic Bay (thus, the title "For the nth time"). We didn't stay in the usual resort though because we wanted to try another that we found in the net. We ended up at Sheavens Seafront Resort. The WiFi was really good! I even tried to play League of Legends for a night and my ping was only 20+ considering I'm in a public place and not in the house. Hahaha that's how fast their net is!

The place was good, too. The downside was just there is no shore to walk on if you don't wanna have a dip in the beach but since we were just there for the ~cool breeze~ of the mountains and the beach, well, it was fine. They also have a swimming pool that is open until nighttime. Their restaurant is open 24 hours a day so if you get hungry in the middle of the night, you just have to go there and order. You don't have to pay shortly after finishing your meal because it can be done during the check-out so I enjoyed pigging out even by myself!

I was too lazy to get hold of my camera which is heavy and kind of bulky so I took these using my phone which is more convenient. My followers would notice how I was very active in Instagram during my stay there because I loved taking pictures of everything!!

Complementary drinks when we got there.
It was supposed to be "iced tea" but I only call it "ice" since it didn't taste like iced tea at all!

My sister on our first night there, having a night dip in the pool.

Day 2! We had lunch at Harbor Point.

Spinach Artichoke dip is my ultimate favorite (lower right)!

Headed to Pier One for a night out! My family loves watching live bands.

Day 3! My pretty view while having lunch by myself.

They went on island hopping without me, hence the lunch-with-myself thing. It was alright because I like being alone sometimes. Is that bad?

Grilled Pepper Steak! Medium well as I like it to be cooked.

Pretty, pretty sunset

Been eye-ing this on the menu and I was glad that it was finally available on our third night!
This was my dessert during our dinner.

Midnight snack with brother. I had waffles while he had the chocolate fondant like the photo above. Mine's presentation was better, heh!

Day 4! Breakfast!

Sixteen years of stardom and girliness

I turned 16 last Thursday and invited my classmates for lunch and karaoke! :)

The chocolate cake came from my parents whilst the mango cake (my favorite!!!) was a gift from the Fabs (Roselle, Michelle, Penny, Xavier & Armando). Thanks Fabs

Another group of friends (I asked one and said they call themselves "Gang" composed of Darla, Eliza, Clarina, Tracy, Kevin, & Edward) came in a little too late and they brought baguettes for me as a gift. Shockingly, they gave me four pieces.. Now guess what my family always eats for breakfast? LOL! Thanks guys!

And Jesse came, of course!

Here are some of the gifts that I have received: a cute pair of neon pink earrings (because I'm Stargirl!) from Joelle, a rosary bracelet with very cute rose beads from Michelle, a shockingly neon necklace from Enna May (because I like "May" HAHA) and two books from Jesse! Thanks guys!

This one's personally made by Jia. Talk about effort! She knows how much I love Hello Kitty! Thanks Jia!

And this is what touched me most, an appreciation post (that's what I'd like to call it) from my Sistaaaar, Roselle! I will just be copying it from her blog so as to not expose hers in public because I don't think she likes that. Heh. You can read it below if you want! The jump break here on Blogger doesn't work :|

Anyway, thanks very much to those who came to my house for the mini-party even though my place is very far from everything. Thank you for the gifts and greetings!

Here's my sistaaar's appreciation post!

Hello Sistaaar!
First of all, I would like to emphasize the fact that we don’t have a picture good enough to do justice to our goddess features. <//3 This should be rectified, okay.
Second, I still have to enlighten your ignorant mind with regards to Titanic. Seriously, it’s been so long.
     ——————————————————————————————————————
Also known as Katy May, she’s my goddess sister from another mothur. It actually took us a while to be this close though. We had Michelle as a common denominator then. I remember our awkward times in the patio wherein we just stood there by the kwek-kwek stand with Michelle between us.
Something happened. Our goddess genes recognized kinship in one another. Suddenly, we were talking and hanging out. Then Poof! I had a diyosa sistaar named Kat.
We just weirded each other out, I guess. I have my own kind of weird and she has her own. We accepted each other with open arms. Although, between us she’s more vocal on expressing how weird I am.
Just to give you a glimpse of how weird we are:
Me being weird:
I dance a lot.Like randomly. Anywhere. I love dancing. But my groove just maximizes when she’s around. She is like my personal jam person. I see her, I automatically dance.
Her response:
1. (tries to control my moves) “Stop, okay. You’re embarrassing.”
2. Distances her self while making an obvious line across space.
Her being weird:
(sees a cat) *muuwaarhh* *muuwaarhh**muuuuwaaaarhh*
Seriously, the noise that emerges from her lips is so creepy. Enough said.
I usually keep these things to myself, hence the vocal part.
She is so organized. She’s the only person I know who uses an envelope to actually organize things -not as a portable trash bin.  She has this uber high-pitched voice. She shrieks a lot especially when she’s emotional or when she sees dirt. So if you look anything less than perfect, walk away.
She’s a big bitch. There are very few people who have the courage  to cross her path. She can be really aggressive in proving her point. She fights for her beliefs and for the people she cares about. Once she makes up her mind, she stands by her decision. She can be really really stubborn.
She is the mother hen of their group, the Lunchmates. The boys do not stand a chance once her decree is made. She is the iron-lady and they are very much afraid of her.
She is very reliable when it comes to keeping things. She has a mommy bag that puts Dora’s backpack to shame. If you need anything, there’s a big probability that she has it.
Be that as it may, she is still a genuine kikay. She has her accessories arranged and hanged in her room. She is also very much obsessed with Hello Kitty. Seriously, she loves it. If I see something Hello Kitty-ish, she easily comes to mind. And she is too feminine, it hurts. haha
She has lots of stories to tell. And the funny thing is she usually loses track of where she is in the story she often skips the best part.
She’s a good writer and a very hardworking editor. She handles the News section of The Josephian. I believe it’s the most difficult section, yet she proved her dedication by doing her job well. Even when she doesn’t feel like doing so. Of course, Icy tower is there to amuse her.
She is loyal and faithful to a fault. She values relationships so much, she is willing to make the sacrifice to make them work. She is also very generous. Being naturally fat, she usually brings their whole fridge to school. When she does, she takes time to offer food to the lowly peasants around her. She is a good listener. She is always willing to listen to people/ peasants. She even sits through my corniest moments.
She’s a really special kid. She has a heart big enough to profess love and criticism for anyone who dares to listen.
To Katy May,
You deserve the best. Do not ever settle for anything less. Continue your crusade to feed the hungry. I sincerely hope we last long. I’m going to miss you, though. Soar high and spread the fatty love, sistaar
 xoxo,
Roselle Diyosa

My summer so far

This picture pretty much sums up my summer so far.

Last summer, Jesse and I had been seriously addicted to an online game called DDTank (Anyone know what that is?). Because of that, I always sleep two or three hours after midnight.

This summer, the only difference is that we grew tired of DDTank and now we're playing League of Legends. I only decided to play the game now because school has ended and I have nothing else to do!!
Nah, I'm kidding. I choose to do nothing. :| If you're also playing LoL, add me!! ---> thestargirl
And don't expect too much because I'm very weak. I always get killed first during a clash though the boyfriend said I'm improving. Heh. :>

Anyway I have been into 1Q84 and The Host before I lost my appetite in reading. I just felt so drained after all the things that happened during my senior year and chose to stay bum for a while. This is just a phase, though. I shall face books soon!

My dad is coming home from Perth tomorrow morning so I guess my real vacation starts tomorrow. Yay travel!
