Christmas 2013

The holidays were extra special because this time, my dad is home for Christmas after several years. My mom was even up until the midnight of 25th for Noche Buena! We usually combine Noche Buena with our dinner since my mom usually sleeps early. *cough*lazy ass*cough*

If you're my follower on Instagram you would see what we've prepared for Noche Buena. :3

We celebrated Christmas in a different and tiring way. After attending the mass somewhere in Kawit, we went straight to Laguna to visit my little nephew who just got in the Philippines!

(No time to fix my hair hihihi)

This was just the first time that we saw LJ!! We spent the whole afternoon chasing this little guy because he always wanted to go outside and run around. Afterwards we went back to Cavite to meet our relatives on my mom's side. We always have a get together during Christmas and this wasn't different.

The reason why this time it's tiring is because we almost spent our time travelling. The traffic sucks but we cannot do anything but go with it. I know this post is pretty late. Hah! I had no time to make a blog post shortly after Christmas because we were bound for Cagyan de Oro shortly after the next day. Next blog post's about our CdO trip!

Staycation

Whenever we wanted a quick getaway from all the stressful things down there in the city, we always go to Tagaytay.. Mainly because it's just a two hour drive (including traffic) from our place. Sometimes we go there to eat dinner, or lunch, or just to attend mass. Last night we checked in at a hotel and just stayed there and watched tv and ate. Thus, the title.

We just discovered One Tagaytay Place when we were looking for a new place to stay. We also went here to celebrate my mom's birthday on the 4th of November. Everytime we ask her what she wants for her birthday she always answers with "sleep". I guess she got what she wanted.

The place was really nice. We got a one-bedroom suite for us four and my mom stayed in the bedroom and us on the space outside the bedroom. Ha whut. I meant that we stayed in the living room-like place outside her room because it's much colder there and the TV was bigger. The sofa bed was as comfy as a regular bed though so we didn't really have trouble sleeping there. Besides, I think my mom needs an alone time from her annoying kids. Heh =))

And I loved the floor length curtain so much!

We brought along my sister's, as she call it, "Baboys" even though the other half of the plush toys with more pigs were with her boyfriend. I can't remember each of their names though but our favorites are Chewy and Buzz. That one there on the far right part. We dressed them up for the weather, too!!

This photo didn't give justice to the pool though. LOL! But it was really nice. No one dared to go in the pool because the weather's too cold to swim.

I loved their lobby as well.

We also got to try the newly opened theme park, Sky Ranch. Nothing special though. It was just unfair that we only had one rotation in the ferris wheel. (If that's what you call it...) Remember the ferris wheel we rode on Fremantle? Click!  We had like, two or more. That's what I remember.

I think this is an obligatory tourist shot? Haha! My sister with buzz. We went there to write our petitions and thanksgiving.

Oh, and before I forget. Happy halloween!!

And we just remembered that we left our camera while we were on the way. I used my phone to take pictures instead. Suckish.

All I want for Christmas...

is you! NOT.

Here comes that time of the year again where we feel the Christmas spirit everywhere we go! In our place, when -ber months finally come, lighting up the highway are the colorful parols instead of the streetlights. Ha, sad truth.. *cough*Revillas*cough*

But I'm not here to talk about politics. I'm here to present my Christmas wishlist to you!

#1. Harry Potter series with the new book cover
I already have the Harry Potter set but I badly want this! In honor for the 15th year of the Harry Potter series, Scholastic Inc. made a new cover for all the books. It's a must-have for every Potterhead!!!

#2. Phone cases
I change my cases from time to time because I always drop it (accidentally, of course). Plus, aren't these cases the cutest?

#3. The Body Shop's body butter
Ever since my mom gave me one, I couldn't stop obsessing over body butters. I just had to get every single one of them. And they smell so good!

#4. 12 Silent Stories by Manix Abrera

I'm not really a fan of comics but this got me so interested. There was this one time when Jesse and I were browsing for books at the newly opened Fully Booked at Town and it took us a while to get away from this!

#5. These type of notepads
I've been eyeing on them for like, forever, but I don't feel the need to have them asap since I know I would just use them once or something. Oh, except for that weekly organizer though but I know just a post-it would work. Heh.

I still have so many books to read but I have no time to just stay in bed all day and read. Hence, the "short" wishlist. But I finished House of Hades in three days (Lame, I know, but hey, we had our finals exam the day I got that!) and I'm still reading Looking for Alaska and The Name of This Book is Secret! So yep, I think my new books this Christmas will only be the Harry Potter set. Hopefully!

I've also been catching up on sleep--though honestly it's just like one of those summer days where I sleep late and wake up late--that type of sleep. And of course, catching up with my old buddies!!

Annnnd I'm currently on a staycation for my mom's birthday. Will blog about it once we get home!

*Photos are not mine.

Eye of the storm

SEMBREAK, FINALLY.

It has been what? Three months since my last update? Ha. I apologize for the lack of updates in such a long time. I have been battling hard against college -- a battle that I pretty much needed to win to go on the next level. It's just the first semester yet I had so many "almost sleepless" nights due to plates! Those didn't hinder me from enjoying this semester, though. I still find time to be with my friends and family despite all the school works.

This is gonna be totally irrelevant but I have to say it!!! Some people from "today" (I meant college) were just as annoying as the people back then. During highschool, I learned not to care for those unworthy of my attention and/or frankly say what they needed to know. I stayed the same. Being a bitch was not just an option, it was necessary.

So far, I am enjoying every moment of my break. I so want to do a lot of things this break and gladly, I haven't been disappointing myself. I have a new adventure to go to everyday. Hahaha! I told myself that I'll be sleeping for the whole sembreak but I can't just stay in the house and do nothing. Lately I've been meeting up with my friends, playing table tennis, reading books, having dates with Jesse and all that... I think I forgot how to play LoL. :(

I have to remember that I am just in the eye of the storm. The things about to happen for the next semester are a lot more challenging and mind-wrecking. And eyebag dropping, so to speak.

Sleepless (kind of) nights

For three weeks now, our school works has been becoming more of a routine. For instance, in our Graphics 101 class (which is my favorite course, by the way), we start a plate in school and continue it at home then pass it the next meeting. Then for our Architectural Design class, we go to school carrying our scale models to be submitted and for our professors to check and afterwards they let us draw another one which will be our next design for our models. And lastly, for our Visual Techniques class (This is the worst!!!!!!! I can never be good in drawing!!!!), we get to do our plate (a rushed one, I must say) at school then we do the same thing at home that would serve as our take home plate.

These three courses are major ones and we get to have like four to seven hours per week/per subject. Sometimes I doubt myself whether I can really do this or not but one thing that I always, always remember is that the drawing exam for those waitlisted the past USTET was, is, and will always be my sign from Him that I am in the right path. I just have to work really hard for it, and I can confidently say that I am working hard for it. I've never been this busy before, never running out of stuff to do.

Everytime I go home during the weekends, I rest for a while, maybe eat a lot, go to malls, shop for groceries,    and during the night, I immediately do my plates so as to lessen my workload. I've never been this eager with my studies (or anything related to school, for that matter) but the results of my past quizzes and plates are reflecting on how I am really enjoying this program. Oh, except for that super fail AD scale model though. I got like an 80 and 83 for my first scale model and design sketch because my drawing was a fail and that specific super glue failed me. Meh.

As for the title, I am always sleeping after midnight and wake up three to four hours after. Even if I don't have tons of things due for the next day or of some sort, I always choose to be busy. Add the fact that my dorm is always messy even though I clean it before and after plates! There was also a time that I couldn't sleep because my dorm was filthy (For me, at least. My other dormmate is the filth-giver.) and I had to clean for me to sleep soundly. What is maarte?

I'm blogging right now because Theology makes me sleepy! Hay I just realized I give too much side comments.
